Who can take part

  • Your child must be 7, 8, or 9 years old.
  • Your child can not have any current eye problems or a family history of eye diseases.
  • Your child should be able to take part in this study for 24 months (2 years).
  • Your child must not have epilepsy (seizures) or asthma, now or in the past.
  • Your child's vision test must show they are nearsighted (between -0.50 and -4.00) and have very little astigmatism (less than -1.50).
