Gene therapy ZM-02 for advanced retinitis pigmentosa

Who can take part

  • You are diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa (a type of inherited retinal disease).
  • Your vision in the study eye is very poor — no better than counting fingers, and not better than your other eye.
  • You have had some useful vision in the past (better than counting fingers).
  • Your eye exam (OCT) shows the outer layer of the retina is damaged, but the inner layers are still there.
  • Your eyeglass prescription is between -6.00 and +6.00 (not too nearsighted or farsighted).
  • You are not infected with HIV or other active infections, and you are willing to follow the study rules.
