Who can take part
- You have a curve in your spine (idiopathic scoliosis) that is getting worse.
- Your main curve is between 30 and 65 degrees before surgery.
- Your spine bends to 30 degrees or less on side-bending X-rays.
- You are still growing (skeletally immature, like having a Risser sign under 5 or Sanders score under 8).
- Your bones are healthy enough to hold screws, as seen on X-rays.
- You have tried bracing, but it didn't work or you couldn't tolerate it.
