Who can take part

  • You have a CardioMEMS sensor already implanted in your pulmonary artery.
  • You live in the United States.
  • Your heart failure symptoms were either Class II or Class III (mild to moderate) when the sensor was placed.
  • You are enrolled in Medicare Part A and B (not Part C) now and have been for at least the past year.
  • You were at least 18 years old when you got the CardioMEMS sensor.
  • You did not have a heart transplant or a mechanical heart pump before getting the sensor.

This trial tests if a combination of a tiny lung-artery pressure sensor (CardioMEMS) and a mechanical heart pump (HeartMate 3) is safe and effective for people with advanced heart failure.
