This study tests a new drug called MRG-001 to see if it helps people with alcoholic hepatitis. The trial is looking for patients who have severe alcoholic hepatitis (with jaundice starting in the last 8 weeks) and have been drinking heavily for at least 6 months.

Who can take part
- You must be 21 or older.
- Your eyes or skin turned yellow (jaundice) within the last 8 weeks.
- You have a history of heavy drinking (more than 4 drinks a day for women or 5 drinks for men) for at least 6 months.
- You have certain blood test results that show alcoholic hepatitis (like high bilirubin and specific liver enzyme levels).
- You are not currently in another drug study.
- You do not have other liver diseases (like hepatitis B or C).
