Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 69 years old.
- You have severe alcoholic hepatitis, which means you have jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes) and abnormal liver tests, and you have had heavy alcohol use.
- Your MELD score (a measure of liver disease severity) is between 20 and 35.
- You can stop drinking alcohol and are willing to undergo treatment for alcohol use.
- You do not have an active infection, kidney failure, or other serious medical conditions that would make the study unsafe.
