Who can take part
- You have Parkinson's disease and have been treated with deep brain stimulation (DBS) for at least several months.
- Your DBS is already well-tuned to control symptoms like stiffness, slowness, and tremor.
- You still experience freezing of gait (feeling stuck when walking) even when your medications are working well (in the 'ON' state).
- You can walk at least 10 meters (about 33 feet) without help from another person.
- You do not have dementia (severe memory or thinking problems).
- You have not had severe side effects from high doses of levodopa or increased DBS stimulation in the past.
