CereGate therapy for freezing of gait in Parkinson’s

This trial tests whether CereGate therapy can reduce “freezing of gait,” a walking problem, in people with Parkinson’s disease who already have deep brain stimulation (DBS). If you meet the device and medication stability requirements, the study may help your walking and movement symptoms measured during testing.

Who can take part

  • You have an implanted DBS system that uses a Boston Scientific Gevia or Genus R16 brain-stimulator (IPG).
  • Your DBS leads/extensions are compatible with those Gevia/Genus devices (FDA-approved with them).
  • You take carbidopa/levodopa and/or a dopamine agonist at steady doses set by your movement specialist.
  • Your DBS settings have been stable for at least 28 days and your movement symptoms improved when DBS was optimized.
  • You must be able to understand the study and sign consent, and you can attend all required visits and tests.
