Who can take part

  • You are under 18 years old.
  • You have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with a CBF rearrangement (t(8;21) or inv(16)).
  • Your leukemia has a KIT mutation.
  • Your AML did not go away with initial treatment (refractory), or it came back after treatment (relapsed).
  • You are generally healthy enough for the trial—no uncontrolled infections, serious organ problems, or other cancers being treated.
  • You have not taken avapritinib before.
