Frailty detection trial for older adults

This trial aims to improve how frailty is detected in older adults. It tests a new approach to identify frailty early, which could help prevent health problems.

NCT04717869Recruiting
Studying frailty support for ICU patients

This trial looks at ways to help “frailty” (low strength and resilience) in people staying in intensive care units. It mainly enrolls adults who expect to be in the ICU for more than 24 hours, and it tries to avoid people whose mobility problems have other causes.

Los Angeles, California
NCT06280443Recruiting
Frailty and muscle loss in chronic lung disease

This study looks at people with COPD or ILD who also show signs of frailty. It aims to understand how frailty and muscle loss (sarcopenia) affect their care and use of medical resources over time.

NCT05263596Recruiting
Testing ways to diagnose muscle loss in older adults

This study looks for the best ways to detect sarcopenia, which means age-related loss of muscle strength and mass, in older people in a hospital or care setting. It may help doctors spot muscle problems earlier so they can plan better care.

NCT07004595Recruiting
Frailty in scarring lung disease: a study

This study looks at how frailty (a state of being more vulnerable to health problems) affects people with scarring lung diseases. It aims to understand if frailty can help predict how the disease will progress and how treatments might be adjusted.

NCT04518423Recruiting
Study frailty and fitness changes in older adults living at home

This study looks at how “frailty” (lower strength and resilience) and “pre-frailty” change over time in older adults who live at home. It may help researchers understand what factors affect aging and strength, so future care can start earlier.
