Studying frailty support for ICU patients

FrailtySarcopenia

Part of Brain & nervous system clinical trials.

This trial looks at ways to help “frailty” (low strength and resilience) in people staying in intensive care units. It mainly enrolls adults who expect to be in the ICU for more than 24 hours, and it tries to avoid people whose mobility problems have other causes.

NCT06793462Not yet recruiting
Frailty as a predictor of outcomes after ICU stay

This study looks at how frailty affects older adults (70+) after a stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It aims to see if frailty helps predict the chances of survival, disability, and quality of life a year later.

NCT06324149Recruiting
Frailty and aging conditions in chronic diseases

This study looks at how frailty affects the course of chronic diseases and how chronic diseases affect frailty. It may help understand aging-related conditions better.

Milan
NCT06218121Recruiting
Frailty detection trial for older adults

This trial aims to improve how frailty is detected in older adults. It tests a new approach to identify frailty early, which could help prevent health problems.

NCT05257226Recruiting
Study of outcomes by frailty in surgical patients

This trial looks at whether “frailty” (how weak or vulnerable someone is) changes short- and long-term outcomes after surgery. It may help doctors better predict who could benefit from extra support before and after surgery.

Kochi
NCT06280443Recruiting
Frailty and muscle loss in chronic lung disease

This study looks at people with COPD or ILD who also show signs of frailty. It aims to understand how frailty and muscle loss (sarcopenia) affect their care and use of medical resources over time.

NCT05928767Recruiting
Using frailty scores to predict death in ICU sepsis

This trial checks whether a “frailty” rating (how physically/mentally vulnerable someone is) can predict the risk of death in ICU patients with sepsis shock. It may help doctors identify higher-risk patients earlier and tailor care.
