Hepatocellular CarcinomaRadioembolization

This trial is for people with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) who are about to receive a type of internal radiation therapy called TARE (also known as radioembolization). Researchers want to learn more about how the cancer responds to this treatment using scans and biopsies. You might be a good fit if you have not had any prior treatment for your liver cancer.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) by imaging and a biopsy.
  • Your liver cancer has not been treated before, and you are scheduled to receive TARE (radioembolization).
  • Your liver function is relatively good (Child-Pugh score below B8).
  • You are able to have an MRI and a CT scan for the study.
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and agree to use effective birth control if applicable.
