Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a large liver tumor (over 8 cm) that hasn't spread to major blood vessels or other organs.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for liver cancer.
  • Your liver function is fairly good (Child-Pugh class A).
  • You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities).

Radioembolization for previously treated liver cancer

This trial tests a treatment called yttrium-90 carbon microsphere radioembolization for people with liver cancer that has been previously treated. Tiny radioactive beads are delivered directly to the tumor through the blood vessels to destroy cancer cells from inside. This may be an option if your liver cancer has not spread beyond the liver and you can tolerate the procedure.
