- You have been diagnosed with stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma) and will have surgery to remove the tumor.
- You are between 20 and 90 years old.
- Your cancer is at an early or intermediate stage (clinical stages I–III) and has not spread to other parts of your body.
- You are healthy enough for daily activities and can walk and take care of yourself (ECOG score 0–2).
- Recent blood tests show your liver and kidneys are working normally.
- You have no allergy to eggs, soybeans, or thiamine (vitamin B1).
