Who can take part
- Your child is between 8 and 14 years old and has type 1 diabetes.
- All four of their first permanent molars (the big back teeth that come in around age 6) must already be through the gums.
- Your child must be willing to participate in the study.
- Your child cannot have braces or other orthodontic appliances in their mouth.
- Your child cannot have any other enamel defects (problems with the hard outer layer of teeth) or other systemic conditions that affect tooth development.
