How ankle braces affect motor skills in CP

Who can take part

  • You have spastic diplegic cerebral palsy (stiffness and trouble mainly in both legs).
  • You are between 4 and 15 years old.
  • You currently use ankle braces (called DAFO) on both feet.
  • You can communicate with simple words or phrases (CFCS level 1 or 2).
  • Your walking ability is fairly good (GMFCS level 1 or 2).
  • You have not had leg surgery or Botox in the last 6 months.
