- You had a stroke at least 3 months ago.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have been prescribed either a semi-rigid or custom-made articulating ankle brace (AFO).
- You wear your ankle brace for all walking outside the house.
- You can walk at least 20 meters (about 66 feet) without help from another person.
- You can walk at least 10 meters per minute during a short walking test.
