Who can take part

  • You have oral cavity (mouth) cancer that has not been treated before.
  • Your cancer was at a certain stage (T2-4N0M0 or T1-4N1-3M0, stages II–IVB).
  • After surgery, lab tests showed no cancer cells or very few cancer cells (less than 10%) in the removed tissue.
  • The surgeon was able to remove the entire tumor with a clear margin (no cancer cells at the edge).
  • The cancer did not spread outside the lymph nodes (no extranodal extension).
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old and in good general health (able to care for yourself).
