Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have HPV-positive throat cancer that was removed by surgery and had neck lymph nodes removed
  • Your cancer is early stage with small tumors (T1-2) and limited lymph node involvement (N1, no more than 5 nodes, with very small spread outside the node)
  • You haven't smoked in at least 6 months and smoked fewer than 15 pack-years in your life
  • You start radiation within 8 weeks of surgery
  • You have a good enough health status to undergo treatment (Karnofsky score 60 or higher)
