Who can take part

  • You must have a solid tumor cancer (not a blood cancer) that has spread to other parts of the body (Stage IV).
  • You should be in relatively good health, able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0-2), and your doctor expects you to live more than 6 months.
  • You must have a recent scan (PET-CT, CT, or MRI) within 6 weeks of joining the study.
  • You must have 5 or fewer spots of cancer that can be treated with a focused, high-dose therapy like radiation or ablation. (If more than 5, they must be close together.)
  • The main tumor must be under control, or you must be planning to treat it with the same local therapy.
  • You cannot be pregnant, and you must not have cancer that has spread in a way that can’t be treated locally (like in the fluid around the lungs).
