Who can take part

  • You have heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction (below 50%).
  • Your heart failure is not caused by blocked arteries (non-ischemic cardiomyopathy).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 40.
  • You have not taken antibiotics, probiotics, or immune-suppressing medications in the last 4 weeks.
  • You do not have advanced kidney disease, cirrhosis, or serious gut problems.
