Who can take part

  • You must have a specific type of rectal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that has not spread to other parts of the body.
  • You should not have had any previous treatment for this cancer, like surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.
  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old and in generally good health, with certain blood counts and liver/kidney function within normal limits.
