This study tests whether a statin medication (atorvastatin) can help lower cholesterol and improve heart health in adults with epilepsy who have been on a modified Atkins diet for a year or more. It may be a good fit if you have high cholesterol and are not already on a statin or have had heart problems.

Who can take part
- You have been on a modified Atkins diet for at least 12 months.
- You have high cholesterol or other blood fat problems (based on heart health guidelines).
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your weight is in a healthy range (BMI above 18.5).
- Your seizure medicines have been stable for at least a month.
- You have never had a heart attack, stroke, or other heart or blood vessel disease, and you are not currently taking a statin medication.
