This trial tests whether a combination of three immune-suppressing drugs (IVIg, cyclophosphamide, and methylprednisolone) given early can improve balance and sensation in people with a rare nerve condition caused by anti-Hu antibodies. Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with a sensory nerve problem (sensory neuronopathy) that affects your balance or walking
  • Your blood or spinal fluid tests positive for anti-Hu antibodies
  • Your nerve symptoms started less than 3 months ago
  • You are able to visit the clinic and have a caregiver or support, but you can walk with some help (modified Rankin score 2 or 3)
  • You have not had more than 2 courses of IVIg in the last 3 months or other immune treatments
