Who can take part
- Be 10 years or older
- Have a specific kind of delirium caused by certain drugs or poisons (antimuscarinic delirium)
- Be very agitated and confused (scored +1 or higher on a standard agitation scale)
- Have a family member or friend available to give consent if needed
- Not be pregnant, not have a history of seizures or certain heart rhythm issues, and not be on a breathing machine
- Not have other major health problems like asthma, COPD, stomach ulcers, or a known allergy to rivastigmine
