Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a confirmed traumatic brain injury
  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) and on a breathing machine (ventilator)
  • Your sedation level (RASS score) is between -5 and +4
  • You have been in the ICU for at least 48 hours
  • You do not have serious liver or kidney problems, a long QT heart condition, or a history of certain mental health disorders
