Who can take part

  • You have advanced cancer that cannot be cured, either because it has spread or because of other health problems like age or medical conditions.
  • Your cancer started in the digestive system, urinary tract, or female reproductive organs (like stomach, colon, bladder, ovary, or uterus).
  • You have a tumor in the pelvic area causing symptoms like pain, bleeding, or problems with bowel, bladder, or vaginal function, and these symptoms are at least a 4 on a scale of 0 to 10.
  • You are at least 18 years old and speak English or Norwegian.
  • You can pause any cancer medications for one week before, during, and one week after radiation, and you are expected to live more than 12 weeks.
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use effective birth control during the study.
