Who can take part
- You are a U.S. military veteran between 21 and 65 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with moderate or severe alcohol use disorder and have had heavy drinking days (5 or more drinks for men, 4 or more for women) on at least 5 days in the past month.
- You can stop drinking for 12 to 24 hours without serious discomfort.
- You do not have a serious heart condition, history of stroke, or any implanted device in your neck or chest.
- You are not currently taking opioids or benzodiazepines, and you have not been in an abstinence-based treatment program in the last 90 days.
