Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a brain condition that needs surgery, such as bleeding, extra fluid, or a special medicine port.
  • You are awake and able to talk (GCS score 12–15) and speak Mandarin.
  • You do not have severe memory problems, major mental illness, or take certain medicines like blood thinners.
  • You are not pregnant, nursing, or have other serious health issues that could affect the study.
