Muscle monitoring in children 6 months to 2 years old

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 6 months and 2 years old.
  • Your child is scheduled for a planned surgery that uses general anesthesia and a muscle relaxant called rocuronium.
  • Your child must be in good to moderate health (ASA I to III).
  • Your child cannot have an allergy to rocuronium.
  • Your child cannot have a muscle or nerve disease that could affect the monitoring.
  • Your child cannot need a rapid-sequence induction or be placed on their stomach for surgery.
