Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a pancreatic condition (like a tumor, chronic pancreatitis, injury, or cystic fibrosis) that requires removing most or all of your pancreas.
  • You developed diabetes after pancreatic surgery.
  • Your C-peptide level (a measure of your body's own insulin production) is very low after a mixed meal.
  • You are generally healthy with no serious heart, lung, liver, or kidney disease, and no active infections like hepatitis or HIV.
