Who can take part

  • You have hip pain that hasn't improved after at least 3 months of non-surgical treatments like physical therapy or anti-inflammatory medication.
  • Your hip bones are fully grown (skeletal maturity).
  • You have never had surgery on your hip, thigh bone, or shin bone that changed how the bones rotate.
  • You do not have other hip conditions like avascular necrosis, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, or a slipped capital femoral epiphysis.
  • You are not pregnant or at risk from radiation exposure (e.g., from X-rays).
