3D-printed planning to help hip preservation surgery

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of cam-type femoroacetabular impingement on hip imaging
  • Your arthritis is not advanced (not severe changes on x-ray, including limited joint space)
  • You do not have significant cartilage damage (no large area of cartilage peeling, as measured by imaging)
  • You do not have certain other hip problems like avascular necrosis or major extra bone growth
  • You are able to consent and follow post-surgery instructions, and you do not have active infection or cancer
  • You are not pregnant, and this is not a revision hip arthroscopy
