Who can take part
- Your child has had type 1 diabetes for at least 6 months.
- Your child attends a school in one of the partnered school districts (Pittsburgh area).
- Your child gets daily help from the school nurse for their diabetes.
- Your child's diabetes care is managed by the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Diabetes Center.
- You and your child can participate in English.
- Your child does not have a developmental delay or neuropsychiatric condition that would keep them from taking part in their diabetes care or study activities.
- Your child is not completely independent in managing their diabetes at school.
