Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born before 34 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby must be between 2 days and 2 months old when they join the study.
  • Your baby needs help breathing with a machine (BiPAP) before a breathing tube, after coming off the tube, or after 7 days of support.
  • Your baby cannot have any birth defects in their lungs or airways.
  • Your baby must not have a confirmed blood infection (sepsis).
  • Your baby must not have had stomach or intestinal surgery in the last week.
