- You have one leg amputated below the knee (transtibial amputation)
- You can walk on a treadmill for 5 minutes without holding onto anything or using a walker
- Your prosthetic leg has been approved by your doctor
- You do not have major memory or thinking problems that would affect training
- You do not have inner ear balance problems or uncontrolled epilepsy
- Your amputation stump is fully healed with no open sores or wounds
