Who can take part

  • You are between 60 and 80 years old
  • Your body mass index (a measure of weight for height) is between 25 and 35
  • Your weight has been stable (not up or down by more than 11 pounds) in the past 3 months
  • You do not smoke and you drink alcohol only in moderation (no more than 2 drinks a day for women, 3 for men)
  • You currently exercise less than 2 hours per week, and do not take supplements containing nicotinamide riboside or resveratrol
