Who can take part
- You are a woman 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for breast reconstruction using your own belly tissue (a free flap) at UVA
- You are not allergic to the drug TXA
- You do not have an active blood clot or bleeding in the brain
- Your hemoglobin level is 8 g/dL or higher
- You are not pregnant and can read and understand English
