Who can take part

  • You are at least 20 years old
  • You are scheduled to have surgery to remove part of a lung
  • You have one or more of these before surgery: walking distance under 500 meters, oxygen levels drop during a walking test, or certain lung function tests show reduced breathing
  • You can walk on your own without a cane or walker
  • You have not had chemotherapy or radiation therapy in the last 6 months
  • You have not done a lung rehab program in the last 6 months
  • You have not had lung surgery before
