Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 years or older).
  • You have lung cancer and are scheduled for lung removal surgery.
  • You are not already in a prehabilitation or similar program.
  • You do not have heart, blood, or nerve diseases, or pulmonary hypertension.
  • You do not have kidney failure.
  • You have not had previous chest surgery or removal of an entire lung (pneumonectomy).
  • You are able to walk without help and have no cognitive or mental health issues.
  • You are being treated at the Cardiothoracic Department of Unidade Local de Saúde São João.
