Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have kidney failure that needs a transplant.
  • You will receive a kidney from a living or deceased donor.
  • You have never had diabetes (type 1 or type 2) before your transplant.
  • You are not taking a GLP-1 weight loss medicine (like Ozempic) at the time of the study.
  • You are only getting a kidney, not multiple organs, and your donor is compatible (ABO compatible).
