  • Age 18–70 years old
  • Received a kidney transplant and developed diabetes between 1 and 10 years after transplant
  • Able to provide informed consent (understand and agree to participate)
  • No active cancer or ongoing infection
  • No severe heart failure (NYHA class III or IV) or liver failure
  • No history of the original kidney disease returning in the transplanted kidney
