Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 79 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with extensive stage small cell lung cancer (cancer that has spread beyond the lung).
  • You have not had any chemotherapy or immunotherapy for this stage of cancer yet.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan and hasn't been treated with radiation in the last 6 months.
  • Your general health is good enough to get out of bed and do light activities (ECOG score 0-1).
