Who can take part
- Your baby was born between 27 weeks and 36 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy
- Your baby has breathing failure from immature lungs (RDS) and needs non-invasive breathing support like CPAP or BiPAP
- Your baby has not already been put on a breathing tube or given surfactant before the lung ultrasound
- Your baby does not have a heart defect, lung problem, facial or airway issue, or a chromosomal condition known at birth
- Your baby had good scores at birth (APGAR > 5 at 10 minutes) and did not need CPR or cooling therapy
