Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have a displaced fracture of the fifth metacarpal neck (the knuckle bone of your pinky).
  • The bone is angled more than 30 degrees out of place.
  • The fracture is not open (no bone poking through the skin).
  • You do not have any other serious injuries besides this hand fracture.
  • You have not had hand surgery before and the fracture does not involve the knuckle joint surface.
