Who can take part

  • You have a type of breast cancer called ER-positive, HER2-negative (hormone receptor positive).
  • Your tumor is at least 2 cm in size and has not spread to distant organs.
  • You are scheduled to receive standard chemotherapy (epirubicin, cyclophosphamide, paclitaxel) before surgery.
  • You are able to swallow tablets and have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, bone marrow).
  • You have not taken doxycycline or similar antibiotics within the last month.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and agree to use effective birth control during and for 12 months after treatment.
