Can hemp and black pepper help lower blood sugar in prediabetes?

Who can take part

  • You have prediabetes, meaning your fasting blood sugar is between 100 and 125 mg/dL.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 30 (overweight range).
  • Your waist is at least 80 cm (about 31.5 inches) if you're a woman, or 90 cm (about 35.5 inches) if you're a man.
  • You have not had major weight changes, weight loss surgery, or used weight loss medications in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) and your HbA1c is lower than 6.5%.
  • You are not taking any supplements that affect appetite or weight, and you do not have a diagnosed eating disorder.
