This trial tests a combination of two drugs (eflornithine and AMXT 1501) for children and young adults with certain types of cancer that have relapsed or not responded to standard treatment, or for a specific brain tumor (DIPG) at diagnosis. Who can take part
- Patient must be 26 years old or younger at the time of diagnosis.
- Must have one of these cancers that has come back or not responded to treatment: high-risk neuroblastoma, ETMR, ATRT, Ewing sarcoma, or osteosarcoma. Or have newly diagnosed DIPG.
- Must be able to swallow capsules whole.
- Must be in fairly good health (able to do most daily activities) and have adequate heart, kidney, liver, and blood cell function.
- Must have recovered from the side effects of prior cancer treatments, and certain waiting periods since last therapy apply.
