Who can take part

  • Your overall health status is classified as ASA I to III (can be assessed by your anesthesiologist).
  • You are scheduled to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy (removal of the uterus through small incisions).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or lower.
  • You do not have kidney or liver disease.
  • You have not had surgery in the same area before.
  • You do not have a neuromuscular disorder (disease affecting nerves and muscles), are not pregnant, and have no allergies to the medications used in the trial.
