Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have bladder cancer that has grown into the muscle layer (stage T2 to T4a) and may have spread to nearby lymph nodes (N0 or N1).
  • You cannot have had certain treatments before, like chemotherapy or immunotherapy for bladder cancer.
  • Your cancer must not have certain rare cell types (like more than 10% plasmacytoid or any small cells).
  • You must be in fairly good health, able to do most daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • Women who could become pregnant must use effective birth control, and men must not donate sperm during and for a period after treatment.
